Simple Tips to Completely Get Rid of Stress, Anxiety and Depression

Stress, anxiety and depression are three of the worst mental enemies people have today. They can cause us to lose our tempers, hurt other people’s feelings or even destroy our lives. Don’t allow them too much control over your life as much as you can help it. Make use of the simple tips below to reduce the effect of – and maybe even eliminate – your three biggest problems.

Indulge Yourself
Quick! What causes you to experience sinful pleasure? Could it be shopping, eating chocolates or spending all your money at a Vegas casino? Whatever it is, it’s sure to make that cloud of misery go away. But keep in mind that this method should only be used sparingly and as a last resort. Indulging yourself too much can lead you to experience yet another mental problem and that’s definitely something you don’t need!

Be an Angel
It’s time to make the little devil on your shoulder shut up and let your inner angel fly. If you’re feeling sad, don’t you know that the best way to make you smile is by making others smile? The pleasure you can derive from the simple act of helping another person will remind you that life isn’t so bad, after all.

Exercise – and not Exorcise – It Out!
Even thirty minutes’ worth of exercise can help lighten your mood. Nothing feels better than sweating your problems out and knowing that you’re at least 1% thinner than you were half an hour ago. If thirty minutes doesn’t quite cut it, continue exercising until you’re too tired to work up the effort of feeling depressed.

Singing and Humming
It doesn’t matter if you’re out of tune or not. Singing and humming apparently has a psychological effect on a person…and it’s for the better if you’re the one making the sounds. But if even you yourself can’t tolerate your voice, just play your favorite CD and let the music soothe your battered soul.

Dancing the Night Away
Whether you have two left feet or you can boogie like Travolta in his Grease days, you can always count on dancing to raise your spirits even just a bit. Dancing is also a great way of expressing your emotions so if you’re angry with the world just let it all out with some seriously wild movements!

Chatting Always Helps
Letting off steam is still the number one way to combat stress, anxiety and depression for most women. While men seem to need liquor before they can open up, all women need is a shoulder to cry on and a willing listener and they can immediately make themselves feel better by ranting about the latest cause of their depression.

A Little PDA Doesn’t Hurt
If it’s not your partner that’s causing you to feel the blues then what else are you waiting for? Kiss, hug, cuddle…whatever works for you is fine. Being close to the person you love is often the easiest way to get rid of stress, anxiety and depression.

Start a Gratitude Journal
Write about the things that you’re grateful for at the end of each day. When something makes you feel unhappy about life, all you have to do is open up your journal and remind yourselves of the great things in your life. You’ll find it silly later on for letting something inconsequential affect you.

LAST BUT NOT THE LEAST
Don’t forget the power of positive thinking. Stress, anxiety and depression can’t affect you if you don’t allow them to. Think positively, be optimistic and happiness will always figure in your life, rain or shine!
